Dr Leslie offers private adult and paediatric treatment for all dermatological conditions in her consulting room at 70 Harley Street and other private clinics. She holds NHS posts as Honorary Consultant at St John’s Institute of Dermatology and Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

About Dr Tabi Leslie

  • Dr Leslie qualified from the University of London at the Royal Free Hospital with intercalated First Class Honours BSc in Neurosciences from University College London (UCL) and Kings College, London. She trained in Dermatology at UCL and Middlesex Hospitals. 
  • In her general dermatology clinics, Dr Leslie has been looking after complicated cases of urticaria (hives), mastocytosis, cutaneous allergy and itch for many years. It is now her special clinical and academic interest at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas' Hospital.
  • Dr Leslie practices at 70 Harley Street, The London Clinic Harley Street, The Portland Hospital for Women and Children (HCA Hospitals), The London Clinic of Dermatology at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, and the BMI Garden Hospital.

Academic Interests and Publications

  • Scientific Research - Dr Leslie frequently attends national and international dermatological meetings to further scientific knowledge and education in dermatology. In 2012 Dr Leslie participated in the Consensus Meeting on the Classification and Treatment of Urticaria held in Berlin, with those recommendations now published in the 2014 European Guidelines. She continues to take further clinical and scientific interest in the pathophysiology and management of urticarial and mastocytosis, as well as the mechanisms of itch. Dr Leslie is on the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) Drugs and Therapeutics Guideline Committee, and is also involved with updating the latest BAD guidelines on urticaria, acne and rosacea.
  • Publications - Dr Leslie has authored a chapter for the upcoming 9th edition of the “Rook’s Textbook of Dermatology”. She has also contributed a chapter on anti-histamines to appear in the “Handbook of Systemic Drug Treatments in Dermatology”, as well as a chapter on itch management for the “Pharmacology of Itch” issue in the Springer  “Handbook of Experimental Pharmacology” series. Her review of current knowledge and clinical practice, “Itch” was published in the Medicine journal series in July 2013
  • Teaching - Dr Leslie is committed to teaching medical students, trainees, GPs and nurses, presenting on all aspects of Dermatology. She lectures in her specialities of urticaria, mastocytosis and chronic itch at the Allergy Academy, Kings College, London, and the MSc Allergy Course at Imperial College, St Mary’s Hospital, London. Dr Leslie regularly lectures at international meetings, including the 2014 EADV Symposium in Belgrade, and the 2015 World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver.

  • Dr Leslie is a regular spokesperson for the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD). She has advised on sunscreens on BBC Radio 4, involved with Sun Awareness Week. She has appeared in The Telegraph, The Times and The Guardian, to give advice on psoriasis and moisturisers for dry skin and ageing, as well as giving expert advice on acne.   • Dr Leslie is a featured expert on a number of skincare educational videos, giving advice on a range of dermatological problems, including urticaria and itch for GP Webinar lectures (links to The Baby Channel, Pampers, Askimo TV)

Dr Leslie often makes media contributions, with notable pieces appearing in national newspapers as well as frequently speaking on BBC Radio.
