Dr George du Toit MBBCh, FCP, DCH, MMeD, Dip.Allergy. FRCPCH, FAAAAI is a consultant paediatrician and allergy specialist at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals, home to one of Europe's largest specialist children's allergy clinics. Dr du Toit is Lead Clinician for the Children's Drug Allergy Clinic and chronic urticaria clinic and is senior co-investigator on the NIH-funded Learning Early About Peanut Allergy Study (LEAP Study).
Dr du Toit commenced part-time private practice in 1999 and holds consulting privileges at various London clinics, including The Portland Hospital, Westminster Bridge Consulting Rooms, New Victoria Hospital in Kingston, and Putney Clinic.
Dr du Toit obtained his MBBCh medical degree in 1993. He then qualified as a specialist paediatrician at the Red Cross Children's Hospital, University of Cape Town, before sub-specialising in his chosen niche of allergy and asthma.
In 2003 Dr du Toit took up a post as consultant paediatric allergist and paediatrician at St Mary's Hospital, Imperial College, London. Three years later, he joined Prof Gideon Lack and Dr Adam Fox at the Children's Allergy Service at the Evelina Children's Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital.
Dr du Toit is an honorary senior lecturer, Kings College London.
