Dr Thomas Fischer is a Consultant on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. He also has a German qualification as a Specialist Doctor. He completed his dissertation in 2002. He is also a qualified Hypnotherapist and has a special interest in using this experimental technique for stress related problems especially stress at work.
Dr Fischer now lives in the North East of England and works full time for the NHS. He is also a registered Consultant with a number of private health insurance providers.
Stress Assist
Dr Fischer is one of the GMC-certified specialist doctors registered with Stress Assist, an agency offering easy access to help out of normal office hours.
Doctors registered with Stress Assist have special experience in helping with stress related disorders including work related stress, and can diagnose an illness, recommend periods of rest and prescribe treatment including medication.
Dr Fischer and his colleagues can improve your emotional health and offer a variety of other options such as relaxation and emotional wellness sessions or recommend changes to your work environment in order to achieve a reduction of work related stress factors.

Both schemes have a fixed weekly fee. You can pay by monthly direct debit.
Once you are a member of a scheme you are entitled to the following free of charge:

Internet video consultations
Doctors registered with Stress Assist can offer video consultations via webcam. These are an extremely convenient way of getting help for stress related problems in your home environment.
You can relax, have a cup of tea or even ask your loved ones questions during the consultation. It is extremely easy to set up as long as you have a computer, an Internet address and a webcam. Stress Assist will take care of everything: they will pay the fee for the Web conferencing service and there will be no hidden costs for you.

If you have a GP in the UK, you can self-refer to Stress Assist, who will, with your permission, share information with your GP. If you are privately insured please check if your chosen Consultant is registered with your insurance company.
