Dr Adrian Winbow is a skilled Consultant Psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience across the NHS and private sectors.  He qualified at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1969, became a Consultant in the NHS in 1978 and has worked in private practice since 1986.  He has held positions as Medical Director within both the Priory and Cygnet Groups and at present is the Medical Director of Private Psychiatry LLP.

He treats patients with a wide variety of conditions including affective disorders such as depressive illness and bipolar disorder, eating disorders, alcohol and substance misuse, anxiety disorders including phobias and post traumatic stress disorders.  He also treats psychotic illnesses such as schizophrenia.

His company, Private Psychiatry LLP, offers comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnosis and treatment from experienced Consultant Psychiatrists at clinics located in London, Bedfordshire, Essex, Kent and Surrey.  Dr Winbow himself offers appointments to his patients in London, Kent and Surrey as well as providing lectures and workshops across the south-east of England.

Dr Winbow is a general adult psychiatrist and has a particular interest in organisational stress, chronic fatigue syndrome, treatment resistant depression and the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) in psychiatric treatment.
