Peter Schofield is a Consultant Cardiologist at Papworth Clinic in Cambridge, providing heart treatment at the UK's largest cardiothoracic hospital. He has extensive experience in the investigation and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease, with sub-speciality interest is interventional cardiology, particularly coronary angioplasty / coronary artery stenting and using new minimally invasive techniques for treating mitral valve disease.
Dr Peter Schofield has been a Consultant Cardiologist at Papworth and Addenbrooke’s Hospitals, Cambridge, since 1989. He has extensive experience in the investigation and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease.
His sub-speciality interest is interventional cardiology, particularly coronary angioplasty / coronary artery stenting and using new minimally invasive techniques for treating mitral valve disease.
Dr Schofield holds a ‘silver’ National Clinical Excellence Award. He is the clinical lead for the Anglia Cardiac Network which is responsible for the delivery of care within Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire for patients with cardiovascular disease. He is a former secretary of the British Cardiac Society.
