Mr Bowdler is an ENT Consultant specialising in diseases and conditions of the ear, in particular in otitis media (glue ear), ostosclerosis (stapes surgery), and infections and treatment of the middle ear and mastoid. In addition he has a special interest in hearing loss, tinnitus and dizziness/vertigo including their diagnosis, investigation and treatment. His practice encompasses all aspects general ENT in both adults and children.
He was appointed to University Hospital, Lewisham in 1989 and is an honorary Senior Lecturer to Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’ Medical School.
Mr Bowdler qualified from Westminster Medical School, London, UK in 1976. He had a broad training in general surgery before training in otorhinolaryngology ENT at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital and Royal Liverpool Hospital. He gained additional training in Paris (France), Antwerp (Belgium), Tubingen (Germany) and Nijmegan (Holland) in ear diseases.
Mr Bowdler works privately as part of a group of six ENT surgeons, drawing from 70 plus years of combined NHS experience, providing expertise in all areas of Ear, Nose and Throat disorders.
Together the London ENT Surgeons have admitting privileges at over eight premier private hospitals, spread across London and the south, including Harley Street and Wimpole Street, allowing them to provide care for their patients as close to home as possible.
