Ajay Sinha is a General Ophthalmologist with special interest in Medical Retina and Paediatric Ophthalmology. He sees patients with all kinds of eye problems, acute and chronic, including cataract, glaucoma and squint. The bulk of his surgical work is cataract surgery and he operates on children for conditions such as squint, blocked tear ducts and eyelid problems, and undertakes various eyelid procedures in adults. He performs active management for retinal conditions like wet macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vascular blocks with both lasers and intra-vitreal injections of Lucentis and Ozurdex.

Mr Ajay Sinha, MBBS(Hons), MD, MNAMS, MRCOphth, FRCOphth, trained as an ophthalmologist with special interest in retina at India’s premier Eye Institute, Dr RP Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, New Delhi from 1976 to 1981. He worked in India until 1987 when he moved to UK for further training and to undertake fellowship exams before returning to private practice in New Delhi from 1991 to 1995. In 1996 Mr Sinha came back to the UK as a Consultant Ophthalmologist.
