Mr Stephen Palmer is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon practising at Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. He specialises in arthroscopic (keyhole) knee surgery, knee replacement, revision knee surgery and ligament reconstruction.
Stephen Palmer, FRCS(Tr & Orth), is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who trained at St Thomas' Hospital, London, graduating in 1990. Following basic training he specialised into the field of orthopaedic surgery, gaining valuable experience in the many centres of excellence prevailing in the Eastern region.
He has worked with many leading experts in the field of orthopaedic surgery and secured the privilege of acquiring a knee fellowship at Addenbrooke's Hospital. Gaining accreditation to the specialist register in 2000 he was appointed consultant, also in 2000.
A young, insightful and dynamic surgeon, Stephen pursued his interests in surgery of the knee, including arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and primary and revision joint surgery.
Popular with both the young and the elderly, Stephen has a varied client base. He is the clinical lead with the Physiotherapy & Sports Injury clinic at Springfield Hospital, Chelmsford, combining their expertise to the treatment and follow up of patients.
