Creatinine
Creatinine levels are an indication of kidney function. Creatinine and urea
blood levels rise in renal disease.
Sodium levels should be measured as a matter of course in all patients over
65.
Underlying Diseases/Conditions
Patients with heart disease, renal disease, diabetes, or a neurological disease
should be tested for creatinine levels.
Current Drugs Use
Creatinine levels should be investigated in those patients who are taking diuretics
or digoxin.
