The Wellington Acute Neurological Rehabilitation Unit has an international reputation for the excellence of its work. It has recently been awarded 3 years accreditation by CARF, an internationally recognised independent body that evaluates standards in rehabilitation around the world.
The focus of the unit is to provide a team approach to the rehabilitation of people who have challenging neurological conditions.
The unit is recognised as the independent sector’s premier centre for the care of patients with neurological conditions including head injuries, spinal cord injuries and strokes, providing comprehensive patient-centred rehabilitation.
The Hospital's extensive neuroscience facilities and expertise make the Wellington Hospital the independent sector’s leading centre for patients with neurological conditions including head injuries, spinal cord injuries, brain tumours and stroke.
The Wellington Hospital is the biggest provider of critical care in the private sector, providing a high standard of intensive care around the clock. The hospital has 50 critical care beds including two Intensive Care Units with a total of 28 beds dedicated to Level 3 intensive care.
