Yours Maternally independent midwives are committed to providing the perfect maternity care for you and your family. We are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and are members of the Complementary Maternity Forum as we believe in an holistic approach to maternity care.
Based in South London/Surrey, we are experienced in supporting you in the birth of your baby, whatever kind of birth you choose (including water births). Most important of all, we are a friendly and caring team.
Two midwives will be responsible for getting to know you and care for you during your pregnancy, with regular antenatal visits arranged at mutually agreed times and dates, giving you lots of opportunity to discuss your plans with us. Your personal midwives can be contacted via pager at any time during your pregnancy, labour or postnatal period once you have booked our services.
Our services
We offer individualised maternity care in your own home. During our free consultation, which will establish our compatibility with your needs, we tailor a custom package to suit your requirements. This can include:
- pre-conceptual advice
- breast feeding support
- antenatal care
- maternity massage
- intrapartum care
- infant massage courses
- post-natal care
Whilst we are happy to provide stand-alone packages for pre-conceptual care, postnatal care, breast feeding support and massage, we cannot provide labour care without antenatal and postnatal care being included in the package. Postnatal care continues until six weeks after the birth, we are particularly skilled in supporting you with breastfeeding.
When to contact us
Due to the small number of families we care for, it is advisable to contact us as soon as possible to see if we have a vacancy, and if so, to book early to avoid disappointment. We will confirm if we are available to care for you depending on the date your baby is due, where you live, and the type of care you require, before arranging a free consultation, during which we will discuss with you, exactly what you require, and together tailor a package to suit your specific needs.
Holistic maternal massage
We firmly believe in the importance of touch as a form of communication for humans. Communication through touch can convey trust, love and strength without interrupting nature. The bond between parent and child is strengthened through touch.
We are able to offer holistic maternal massage during pregnancy and in the postnatal period (dads welcome to request a massage too). Infant massage courses can be arranged for babies aged between birth and 9 months of age.
