The Physiotherapy Department, staffed by a team of senior Chartered Physiotherapists experienced in the management of sports injuries, is located in purpose-built premises within the hospital. This enhances the high standard of clinical excellence they provide while giving them the scope to expand and develop their specialist sports medicine clinics.

Physiotherapy expertise

All physiotherapists are Chartered and State Registered with post-graduate specialist skills in manipulation and sports injuries and offer a range of services such as:

  • Isokinetic testing
  • video biomechanical analysis
  • Clinical Pilates.
 
 An internationally renowned team of Sports Physicians and consultants also operate from the Clinic/Hospital.

The multi-sport gymnasium contains the latest state-of-the-art equipment including high performance treadmill, cycles, rowing ergometer, pilates reformer, weight stations and specialist rehabilitation equipment.

In-patient treatment

Their physiotherapy team provides treatment for patients who have undergone a wide range of procedures including cardiac, orthopaedic and neurological surgery. Patients receive appropriate treatment and rehabilitation and, in preparation for their discharge, are given advice and a programme of exercises. Local patients may continue physiotherapy on an out-patients basis.
