MRI scanning

MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging, a type of medical imaging. An MRI scan uses magnetic fields instead of X Rays to create a picture of your body, and uses a computer to create cross sections of the body and organs.

CT scanning

CT stands for Computed Tomography, a type of medical imaging. A CT scan (computed tomography) or CAT scan uses x-rays to obtain images of your body and uses a computer to create cross sections of the body and organs.

PET scanning

PET stands for Positron Emission Tomography. A PET scan is a medical imaging technique which produces a three dimensional image or map of functional processes in the body. A PET scan is used to detect cancers, and in the diagnosis of conditions such as heart disease and Alzheimer's disease.
