Latest generation surgical equipment

RVG - digital x-rays

This device allows the taking of an intrabuccal digital x-ray photograph in real time, displaying it on a monitor and processing it through a  keyboard connected to a computer, which creates a data archive and allows the photograph to be printed.  

The intrabuccal film is replaced by an optical sensor which is placed inside the patient's mouth and, when rays are emitted through a normal radiography machine, conveys the image of the desired tooth to the monitor.  High-definition images are produced immediately and there is reduced exposure to x-rays.

Intrabuccal Spectro Shade video-camera

This miniature device allows the whole of the oral cavity to be accessed without disturbing the patient, and displays excellent high-quality and high-definition images on a monitor. This is a very effective diagnostic tool for dentists as the analysis of the magnified, still image allows very accurate examinations to be carried out.  When connected to a computer the device can be interfaced with printers, video-recorders and video-projectors to manage and file images and data more effectively.  To display the colour of the tooth correctly, a Spectro shade device may be used in conjunction with this to reproduce the tooth colour perfectly and send it to the laboratory through the internet to build a prosthesis.

Laser

Laser in dentistry provides a tool that is particularly flexible, painless, bactericidal, precise and conservative of tissues, thus allowing the implementation of new treatment procedures, such as permanent desensitisation. Its scope includes curettage, gingivectomy, the preparation of the gingival sulcus, frenulectomy, caries vaporisation and intracanal therapy.
