I am a Consultant Lower Limb & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon at Hope Hospital (University of Manchester Teaching Hospital) and at The Manchester Sports Medicine Clinic. In my honorary role, I am an examiner for undergraduate medical students at the University of Manchester. I am the External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Sports Rehab course at UCLAN. I am the Associate Editor in Orthopaedics for the Journal of Medical Case Reports.
I completed my higher surgical training in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in Manchester, following which I worked in the USA for a year at a prestigious Sports Medicine Clinic dealing with, amongst other things, injuries in elite and professional athletes.
I am the Team Surgeon to the British Olympic Wrestling Team. I also work with many other professional and elite sports teams and players, treating various injuries especially around the knee. I have written articles on Sports Medicine and Injuries including in Fighters Magazine. I am a national and international speaker on Knee surgery and Sports Medicine.
Outside of Medicine, I remain a keen sportsman having played basketball and hockey at county and University levels.
