Young people join workshops thanks to Simplyhealth

Young people between the ages of 10 and 16 will have the opportunity to get involved in animation workshops, taking place during a fortnight of arts and media activities, thanks to a £1500 donation by healthcare provider Simplyhealth.

Run by Bristol-based charity and arts organisation Knowle West Media Centre, the fortnight of activities will take place from 8-19 August. During the health-themed animation workshop, young people will have the opportunity to bring stories to life using a variety of techniques. They will also use their creativity to develop exciting new artwork and photography and take part in film and performing arts workshops.

Jamie Wilson, spokesperson for Simplyhealth comments: "Each month our employees choose three charities to support through the proceeds of our dress down days. We also have an established community fund in Bristol that provides funding for worthwhile causes across the region.”
