Many women put up with unsightly thread veins and rosacea without realising that there is a simple way to treat them.
According to consultant surgeon Brian Newman, who operates clinics in Harley Street, Greater Manchester and Glasgow, the results can change a woman's life, painlessly clearing the area in as short a period of time as their lunch hour.
The surgeon suggested that the cosmetic procedure could be particularly beneficial for brides to be who might otherwise be dreading their wedding pictures.
He commented: "My patients are always amazed to see how pain-free and simple the procedure is and how incredible the results are.
"Brides to be can include the treatment as part of their wedding preparation, confident they will look their best on their big day."
The expert noted that facial conditions such as rosacea are often linked to deep emotional issues and said that it is "a joy to witness and to realise the difference it can make to their lives".
According to the National Rosacea Society, 76 per cent of sufferers experience low self-esteem, while 52 per cent avoid socialising in public because they are so concerned about their appearance.
