Surgicare acquires Plastic Surgery Partners

Leading cosmetic surgery provider, SurgiCare has confirmed its acquisition of the internationally renowned, privately run practice, Plastic Surgery Partners (PSP). The seven figure deal is the first of its kind in both the UK and mainland Europe and is part of the company’s drive to be the leading, ethical British cosmetic surgery provider.

The commercial acquisition means Manchester-based SurgiCare is revolutionising the industry by aligning itself with surgeons who are members of the respected British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) as the deal will see PSP’s founders, Dai Davies FRCS and Nick Percival FRCS, two of the most respected BAAPS surgeons in the UK and Europe, join the SurgiCare team. This partnership will give consumers immediate access to BAAPS registered surgeons, an alignment which is guaranteed to propel SurgiCare’s medical credentials way above any other cosmetic surgery company in the UK.

Speaking on the announcement of the acquisition, CEO of SurgiCare, Mark Bury said: “SurgiCare is defining a new code of practice, which is moulding the future of the cosmetic surgery industry. The partnership reflects SurgiCare’s ongoing commitment to providing our patients with the best and highest standards in the UK cosmetic surgery market, from first consultation right through aftercare.

“This is a unique move in that it is the first time BAAPS registered consultants have agreed to partner with a commercial cosmetic surgery provider, thus making the merger a significant breakthrough, not only for us, but for the industry as a whole. Nick and Dai’s decision to join SurgiCare is an incredible credit to the business. We are eager to drive forward this revolutionary approach to cosmetic surgery in the UK and continue SurgiCare’s passion for delivering the very best for its patients.”

From a consultant’s perspective, the deal will mean that SurgiCare has the facilities to invite UK surgeons to join and train with the very best, allowing them continual access to pioneering surgery techniques.  In addition, SurgiCare’s surgeons will have the benefit of working with a commercial company, without compromising medical standards.
