Over the last year the South of England has seen a massive increase in the amount of people having abdominoplasty’s, more commonly known as a tummy tuck, to achieve that washboard stomach.
Figures from leading cosmetic surgery provider The Hospital Group have revealed that more people in the South have gone under the knife to achieve an enviable flat and toned stomach than anywhere else in the UK.
Exeter came first in the poll with tummy tuck procedures up a whopping 260 per cent since 2009 and Bristol came in second having seen a 75 per cent increase in people opting for the procedure.
Surprisingly image conscious London only came in third with a 57 percent increase since 2009.
Those looking to lose weight or shift stubborn fat from their problem areas can be assured they will receive a top class service with The Hospital Group.
The Hospital Group offer a range of cosmetic procedures to help people achieve the perfect body, including breast augmentation and breast uplift for a curvy and womanly shape or liposuction to zap away fat from stubborn problem areas.
David Ross, Chief executive of The Hospital Group, which has 19 clinics across the UK said: “We have seen a large increase in the amount of people who want to shift excess weight which hangs around their stomach, especially in the South.
“If someone feels self conscious about their looks it can impact on every aspect of their life causing them to feel down and lose confidence at work as well as their social life.
“Getting a little help to make you look and make you feel your best can make a huge difference to a person’s outlook and can restore the confidence they lacked before.
“At The Hospital Group our consultants ensure that, as well as having an absolute need for the procedure, the patient understands that surgery isn’t a miracle cure and they would need to work to achieve the healthier lifestyle they desire”
