Ski Club launches insurance campaign

A campaign has been launched by the Ski Club of Great Britain urging skiers and snowboarders to purchase appropriate insurance before setting off on their holidays.

The organisation cited recent research showing that 75% of UK travellers fail to check the terms and conditions of their insurance policies and 56% do not arrange cover at all.

Winter travellers were advised to check that they are covered for any extra activities they will be taking part in, such as off-piste skiing or tobogganing.

Caroline Stuart Taylor of the Ski Club of Great Britain says,  “Skiers and snowboarders often get caught out when it comes to insurance. Buying a travel insurance policy is often not enough. Check that you are covered for winter sports and read the small print to ensure all activities you will be participating in are covered.”
