Over 50s insurance provider RIAS is launching an open online vote to select the active gran winner in the grandparent of the year 2011 awards.
The awards celebrate the value of grandmothers and grandfathers to families and recognise the important role they play, offering wisdom, experience, support and love.
It is one of five awards recognising the most prized grandparents, but it is the only award open to the public vote.
