Friends Provident has added mastectomy cover to critical illness and life with critical illness policies. In the event of a total mastectomy to treat a carcinoma in situ of the breast, it will pay out 20% of the sum assured or £15,000 whichever is less. This additional cover will not reduce original sum assured in the event of a further claim.
