Bupa paid out in 91.5% of critical illness claims received during the first half of 2010.
The highest claim was £1,000,000. Cancer claims continued to be the highest percentage paid, accounting for 59% of all claims.
Less than one percent of critical illness claims received during the first half of 2010 were declined due to non-disclosure and less than 8% were turned down because they did not meet the policy definition.
