Tesco has a new target market for its insurance products - the under 18s.
The supermarket giant, which bought out Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to take full control of its Tesco Personal Finance brand last June, is launching the Tesco Child Health Plan. It will be one of the few private medical insurance products for children on the market.
Tesco launched health insurance for adults and families in 2007. Child Health Plan will be provided for the supermarket by AXA PPP healthcare, the only insurer offering similar health cover solely for children.
