Online private medical insurance provider Health-On-Line is considering introducing a cancer-only plan.
Mark Martin, managing director of Health-On-Line, says the product is still under discussion but he suggests it could be a competitor to Virgin Money’s Big V direct offer cancer cover.
Martin says some PMI offers can lead to consumers misunderstanding what a policy includes, whereas Health-On-Line offers products where the consumer “gets what they think they’re getting”.
Other future developments from the company include raising awareness of the brand by incorporating Axa PPP – the company that underwrites its policies.
Health-On-Line is expected to announce further new products within a month.
