Scottish Widows celebrates anniversary

On the 28th November 2006, insurer Scottish Widows held an exclusive event in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the iconic Widow.

As part of the celebrations - in a surprise and unprecedented move that delighted the guests - all three Widows appeared together for the first time.

Deborah Moore, daughter of Roger Moore and the first ever Scottish Widow, TV presenter Amanda Lamb, and Hayley Hunt, the new Widow, dramatically entered the party in full black cloaks.

Archie Kane, Chief Executive of Scottish Widows commented: "The image of the Widow is one of the most recognisable icons in advertising history. We are proud that it represents the Scottish Widows brand and are thrilled that Deborah, Amanda and Hayley, who have each portrayed the iconic image, could be present tonight to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Widow".
