ProtectingMyIncome.co.uk website goes live

A website designed to promote the benefits of income protection insurance to consumers has gone live.

ProtectingMyIncome.co.uk is the website of the Income Protection Task Force, a not-for-profit organisation whose objectives are to increase the awareness of the impact of illness and injury; to demonstrate how it can jeopardise the hopes and aspirations of individuals and their families and to show how such awful consequences can be avoided.

The IPTF is made up of insurers and advisers and says that the awareness of the true value of income protection needs to be boosted, the website offers clear explanation of the need, explains what the state offers to those unable to work due to sickness and what happens when people need to claim.

Peter Le Beau of the IPTF says: "We want people who need to know more about protecting their income to be directed to the web-site where they will find clear and accurate information about this most essential of financial products."
