uSwitch.com, an independent price comparison and switching website, has launched a new comparison channel on travel insurance.
Consumers are able to compare and buy from a range of policies on the new travel insurance channel. These include annual and single trip, golf cover, backpacker's insurance, wedding cover and winter sports.
It also offers extreme sports cover for thrill seekers looking to enjoy higher risk activities, such as abseiling and hang gliding.
It has teamed up with aggregator site, Drakefield, part of the AA/Saga Group, to provide the travel service. It will use a panel of 12 suppliers, comprising a mixture of brokers and insurers. These include the AA, Admiral and Essential travel. So it is very limited in what it offers for older people and those with health problems.
