New research suggests that many British people would be more than happy to visit a cosmetic dentist
to fix their smile.
A study by Invisalign
found that over 36 per cent of people in the UK are embarrassed by the appearance of their teeth and 29 per cent wished that their teeth were straighter and more even.
Nearly two thirds of respondents claimed that they would feel more confident if they had a better smile, with 43 per cent citing a smile as the feature most likely to be noticed when meeting a potential partner.
According to Dr Paul Humber, of the Hopvine Dental Practice in Soham, Cambridgeshire, consumers could take the New Year as their motivation to have their teeth improved.
He pointed out that Invisalign is a non-invasive dental treatment that may help to achieve a perfect smile without the hassle of invasive metal braces.
Dr Paul Humber also noted that Invisalign will help people to overcome their embarrassment of their teeth so that they no longer find themselves covering up their mouth with their hand when talking or avoiding smiling when having their picture taken.
