Reliant Technologies has launched three new Fraxel re:pair laser handpieces for use in non-surgical cosmetic treatments
All three handpieces can be used either alone or in combination with each other to deliver a comprehensive cosmetic treatment, according to Dr Howard Conn, plastic surgeon and fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He revealed: "The Fraxel re:pair laser system...[combines] the most advanced ablative fractional resurfacing technology with surgical capabilities.
"These new handpieces allow me to provide my patients a one-stop treatment option for superior tightening of the skin, lifting of the upper eyelids and improvement of lines on the lower eyelids."
The assistant professor of clinical dermatology and plastic surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr David McDaniel, described one of the new handpieces - the Fraxel re:pair laser's 600 micron handpiece - as a "significant advancement".
He explained that the technology allows him to provide the equivalent of a series of IPL treatments plus microdermabrasion and increased long-term collagen production in a single, safe procedure.
Fraxel laser treatment can be used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, sun spots, rough skin and acne scars.
