MP unveils new MRI scanner at BMI Lincoln

Lincoln MP Karl McCartney was at BMI The Lincoln Hospital to unveil a new MRI scanner.

The scanner, a joint venture between BMI Healthcare and InHealth replaces a mobile unit at the private hospital on Nettleham Road, Lincoln

Hospital Executive Director Moira Stokoe said the new scanner, now housed in a purpose-built unit, would give patients and consultants more flexibility around appointments.

“It is just another example of how we are moving the hospital forward. We are very grateful to InHealth for making this possible.   The installation of the MRI Scanner was made possible by the strong working relationship BMI has with InHealth and InHealth’s expertise in this field of imaging”. 

Mike Fox-Davies, Operations Director at InHealth commented: “We are proud of the partnership InHealth has with BMI Healthcare.  It has enabled the development of an excellent imaging service to be delivered from the BMI Lincoln Hospital for its patients. 

“We have provided imaging services to BMI Healthcare for five years at over 18 of their hospitals.  By installing a state of the art MRI scanner at Lincoln it ensures we can help the hospital bring first class imaging services to the local community.”
