A recent report by the Chartered Society of
Physiotherapy found that some people have to wait up to 27 weeks for treatment
on the NHS.
With a health cash plan people can see a physiotherapist
of their choice at any point and claim back money towards the cost.
Raman Sankaran for Simplyhealth says: "If
you hurt your back, or pick up a knee injury you will want to get it treated
quickly so you are not in pain. Waiting up to 27 weeks for treatment can affect
your ability to work, sleep and get around. With a cash plan you can book an
appointment with an independent physiotherapist and claim back a percentage of
the cost, up to an annual limit. There's no need for a GP referral and it means
you do not have to wait in pain or discomfort."
