The new
head of BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital has received a major boost just weeks after
starting his new post.
Keith
Cunningham moved to the private hospital on St Andrews Road, Droitwich, after
three years as Executive Director at Birmingham’s BMI Priory Hospital.
This week,
independently-compiled figures for the hospital show patient satisfaction
levels at an amazing high with 99.9 per cent of people questioned saying they
were treated with “respect and dignity” and
99.2% saying they would definitely recommend the hospital to others.
The
figures, compiled by Howard
Warwick Associates Ltd
and taking into account the three months ending August 11, also showed a high
level of satisfaction with nursing care (96.1%) and over 95% of patients
praising the hospital’s catering staff.
Keith, who
has worked in the healthcare sector for nearly 30 years, said he was delighted
with the results.
“Staff
throughout BMI Droitwich Spa are setting very high standards. These results
show a superb team effort across the whole hospital, from the cleaners and
catering through to our nurses and consultants,” he said.
Now, Keith
is preparing for further improvements at the hospital with permanent MRI and CT
scanners installed in the New Year while also looking to improve oncology
services over the next 12 months.
He said: “It is a very exciting time for BMI Droitwich
Spa. The hospital already has an excellent reputation in the region and we plan
to build on that by improving facilities and services throughout 2012.”
