Staff at the BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital were ‘in the pink’ after raising nearly £500 for Breast Cancer Care.
A pink curry, created by theatre manager Lorraine Gill, by was one of the fund-raising highlights along with a cake stall, clothes and jewellery sale and a tombola while many of the staff wore fancy dress to help promote the occasion.
Breast Care nurse Miriam Williams, who helped organise the event, said she was delighted with the £498 total raised by Pink Friday. She said they were now looking at holding another event in December to raise money for a local hospice.
