TV show prompts increase in cosmetic surgery

Enquiries regarding cosmetic surgery have risen in the Essex area following a recent TV programme, it has been suggested.

The Only Way is Essex has prompted a surge in enquiries for breast augmentations, botox and liposuction, the Daily Star reported.

According to the paper, Transform has seen enquiries regarding breast surgery increase by 31 per cent.

Meanwhile, liposuction enquiries have risen by 24 per cent and 18 per cent more people are looking for plumper lips.

The company's bosses believe that the increases are down to the show, which features a number of sexy models.

Shami Thomas, founder of Transform, commented: "We're astounded by the impact the show is having on the number of inquiries from the Essex and east London area, we can also see a direct correlation on our website when the show is on air.

"Our central London clinic has had a huge influx of patients from the Essex area, so much so we're considering opening a clinic there to cope with the demand."
