Dermaroller treatment has been flagged as a revolutionary new
cosmetic surgery.
Judith Mulgrew, who owns Skin Medi-Spa where the treatment is on
offer, noted that the procedure offers a new option for people who would
otherwise have to consider going under the knife or using laser
treatment.
"It represents a massive step forward for anyone who is
self-conscious about scarring or marks on their skin," she
explained.
"The only options previously open to someone wanting to
improve the appearance of their skin in a similar way would have been laser
treatment or surgery."
Dermaroller is a micro-needling technique which
stimulates the skin and helps it to regenerate.
Tiny need holes are
punctured in the skin by the roller, prompting the body to produce more collagen
and elastin, which in turn help the skin to repair itself more
effectively.
