BMI hospital gets £3m overhaul

A £3 million project is underway to improve facilities at the BMI Three shires Hospital has in Northampton, reports reveal.

According to the Northampton Chronicle and Echo, the private hospital will soon benefit from improved oncology and MRI scanning departments, as well as a minor operations suite.

In addition, the costly project will provide the hospital with a physiotherapy department complete with gymnasium, an extra X-ray room and new consulting rooms.

The private hospital's executive director, Paul McPartlan, told the news provider: "The build will provide the hospital with modern and state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring that our patients are receiving the highest quality of care.

"We can't wait to see what the hospital will look like once the build is completed in March."

BMI Healthcare is the acute private hospital division of General Healthcare Group.

The vast majority of patients visiting the BMI Three Shires Hospital in 2008 rated its overall quality and accommodation as 'good', 'very good' or 'excellent'.
