Liverpool Victoria, the UK’s largest friendly society will give up to £100,000 to assist any of its one million members who may have lost money in the Farepak Christmas club scheme.

Members of Liverpool Victoria – including those who have an income protection policy taken out before 13 October 2006 - who have been affected will receive a gift of £100.

Claims will be met on a first come first served basis until the total amount of gifts claimed reaches £100,000.  After this the society reserves the right to review applications on a case-by-case basis.

Mike Rogers, Liverpool Victoria’s Group Chief Executive, says: “As a membership organisation we are committed to protecting our members and their money.  Whilst the situation surrounding Farepak is in no way linked with Liverpool Victoria, we are extremely concerned about the impact on our members and I am delighted to be able to offer them some support at this unfortunate time.”
