New travel scheme with The Stroke Association launched

Heath Lambert Insurance Services has extended its partnership with The Stroke Association to offer travel insurance for stroke survivors, their families, carers and supporters.

The product will offer greater choice for the Association’s supporters with two levels of cover - platinum and gold. Both of these provide cover for all pre-existing medical conditions and disabilities and are available as single and annual travel insurance.

The Stroke Association is the only UK wide charity solely concerned with combating stroke in people of all ages. Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. Of all people who are affected from a stroke, about a third are likely to die within the first 10 days, about a third are likely to make a recovery within one month and about a third are likely to be left disabled and needing rehabilitation. A quarter of a million people are living with a long-term disability as a result of a stroke.
