Mutuals on the march

engage Mutual Assurance is sponsoring the annual forum event that seeks to highlight the growing importance of mutuals.

The Mutual Manifesto aims to build cross party support for the mutual model. Mutual organisations are keen to build on the growing consumer preference for organisations run for the benefit of their customers by demonstrating what the sector has to offer.

Andrew Haigh at engage Mutual comments: “23 million people are members of mutual organisations. The relevance of mutuality as a business model has stood the test of time and this event will seek to build on the growing popularity of mutuals by encouraging stronger alliances between organisations, and promoting a mutual approach to business and public policy."

The meeting will launch a research and information centre, the Oxford University Centre for Mutual and Employee-Owned Business.
