Medical information on a memory stick

There's a new way for individuals to carry their own emergency medical information and medical history on a portable user friendly memory stick.

The Zaptag enables individuals to update and manage the medical information and even encrypt information not for use in an emergency. Zaptag is ideal for extreme sports, frequent travellers and anyone who wants peace by mind of carrying their essential medical records and emergency information on their person. With 256mb or 512 mb memory capacity, Zaptag also works well as a travel companion as you can save files scans and photos such as passport pages, travel itinerary information and vaccination records and have easy access to documents while abroad.

There are two formats – a waterproof stick version with a lanyard and a rubber wristband that is easy and comfortable to wear. The customised Windows driven software is very easy to use and includes built in help information. The drive offers high levels of encryption which is a first for USB flash drives. Zaptag also comes with a wallet card that alerts any third party to the fact that the injured person carries a Zaptag – in case they are unable to speak for themselves.

According to Zaptag Managing Director, Ian Gallifant,

"With the continued advancement of new technologies coupled with the everyday reliance on computers in our lives, everyone can now benefit from quick access to personal medical records should the need arise."

Zaptag ER 256MB is priced at GBP₤39.99 and the wristband comes is two memory sizes: 256mb priced £24.95 and 512mb priced at £29.95. Zaptags are available direct from
