Leading cosmetic and weight loss surgery provider, The Hospital Group, has revealed that its Facebook fan page has grown rapidly this year.
The Group now boasts nearly five thousand fans and well over ten thousand active users each month.
The Hospital Group ran a survey to understand its Facebook fan-base better and the results are:
- 55% – over half – had already had surgery or had booked it
- 34% – over a third – would like surgery
A spokesperson from The Hospital Group said “We are really pleased to see the popularity and growth of our Facebook page.
"We understand that surgery is a serious decision and encourage our patients to do plenty of research and ask all their questions before making a final decision, so we post out regular news stories for our Facebook fans.
"It has been particularly rewarding to see our patients interracting on Facebook and have seen numerous patients give each other advice and encouragement, which is really helpful for anyone considering, having or recovering from surgery.
"Facebook offers an informal support environment for those going through the process.”
