Botox is a simple and effective procedure that is great for removing heavy frown lines, a cosmetic surgery expert has claimed.
According to Douglas McGeorge, a consultant plastic surgeon and president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Baaps), around 90 per cent of cosmetic procedures, including non-surgical cosmetic treatments
such as botox, are performed on women.
However, he claimed that it has become "more socially acceptable for men to consider surgical procedures", noting that there has been a dramatic increase in the number of men having tummy tucks following weight loss.
Botox is one procedure that is likely to become equally popular among men and women as it "great" at removing a heavy frown, Mr McGeorge revealed.
"And men have frowns just as much as the ladies do," he pointed out "It's a very simple procedure to do and if it's done well, it produces a very good result which will last about six months."
