Simplyhealth has been appointed as the provider of employee healthcare benefits for energy giant E.ON.Over 4,000 employees at E.ON will benefit from private medical cover and16, 000 employees can take advantage of discounted private medical cover or a health cash plan.
Traditionally, the private medical benefits scheme has been provided through an insured arrangement. Simplyhealth was instrumental in outlining the benefits of self-funding through a healthcare trust arrangement. By opting to fund this benefit through a trust the employer has been able to maintain employees' cover, whilst generating considerable cost savings.
