Denplan launches lower cost company dental plans

Denplan logo

Available from April, leading dental insurer Denplan is launching lower cost schemes for companies.

Denplan Lucent provides cover for a range of dental treatments at a low premium price-point. A range of plans available providing cover up to £5,500 per policy year. Plans include cover for the full range of common dental treatments. Dental plans also include cover for dental injuries and dental emergencies.

The schemes can be set up in four ways:

Company Paid

Dental cover is offered as a core benefit for employees and is paid in full by the company and all employees covered would be subject to Benefit in Kind taxation. The company would pay any premiums direct to Denplan.

Flexible benefit

If a company operates a Flex scheme for employees, dental payment plans can be part of the range of options employees can choose from. The company would pay any premiums direct to Denplan, and all employees covered would be subject to Benefit in Kind taxation.

Salary Deduct

This allows employees the option to purchase dental cover with payments deducted direct from their salary. The company would then pay any premiums collected direct to Denplan.

Co-funding

Co-funding is where the company and employees share the cost. The company would then pay any premiums collected direct to Denplan and all employees covered would be subject to Benefit in Kind taxation for the portion the company paid.

Company Paid dental payment plans are available to all companies covering more than three employees. For other funding methods, a minimum of 100 employees is required.
