Progress from Royal Liver has withdrawn unemployment cover from its protection menu plan for new business.
At present existing customers are unaffected, although the underwriter - Cardif Pinnacle - reserves the right to withdraw the cover in the future.
Aidan Dewhurst of Royal Liver explains, "Cardif Pinnacle has said that due to unprecedented market conditions they have taken the decision to withdraw it from new business. We have no control over that decision".
