Scottish patients will not lose their entitlement to NHS care if they choose to privately fund additional care, the Scottish Health Secretary has confirmed.
The revised guidance on co-payments mirrors the conclusion in England that patients should not lose out on NHS care simply because they choose to purchase additional treatments.
The NHS in Scotland will not subsidise private care. New measures will further improve access to new medicines.
