MACOM slimming pants pass the test

In a recent product trial and analysis published in The Daily Mail (May 2010), MACOM Medical slimming compression pants ranked in the top two of tested brands in terms of the ‘smoothing’ of cellulite effect.

Cellulite is a term used to describe the dimpled appearance of skin caused by fat deposits that are just below the surface of the skin and may be affected by a variety of factors including: hormonal changes, genetics, diet, smoking, exercise, stress, and circulation.

There is no absolute cure for cellulite, and it is notoriously difficult to treat or disguise. The Daily Mail analysis was conducted to get to the bottom of claims many manufacturers make about their product’s ability to tackle cellulite.

In reference to MACOM slimming pants, consultant plastic surgeon and female body contouring specialist Angelica Kavouni concluded, “They are supposed to help to increase lymph drainage which I suspect is true because they use compression fabric around the waist, stomach, and thighs...”

MACOM managing director explains, “MACOM garments are made of medical-grade compression material.  This level of compression squeezes in problem areas, reduces fluid retention, and improves circulation. This is what allows the visible, smoothing effect to occur.”

MACOM garments for slimming, post surgery, pregnancy, and postnatal purposes can be viewed and purchased online at
