Bupa Cromwell Hospital has opened a
specialist female health centre to better meet the needs of busy women.
Open from 8am to 8pm,
Monday to Friday, and 8am to 2pm on a Saturday, women will be able to access a
range of services, from routine health checks to complex treatment.
The Centre will be
staffed by a team of leading consultants and GPs, covering a broad range of
health issues for women at every stage of their lives, from gynaecology, sexual
health and contraception to menopause, osteoporosis and breast care. Cardiology
will also be an area of expertise for the centre as women can experience heart problems very differently to men.
Female consultants will be available for patients in all specialities, and specialist nurses will help guide patients needing complex care through their treatment.
Mr Paul Montgomery, medical director, Bupa Cromwell Hospital, said, ‘We treat thousands of women every year, and we consistently hear from them that they would feel more comfortable being treated by women, among other women, as speedily as possible. Responding to the needs of our patients is a top priority, so we are delighted our new Women’s Centre is a one-stop shop that will allow busy women to access the healthcare they need, in a way that suits them.’
The centre is open from 25 June. For more information on the Women’s Centre at Bupa Cromwell Hospital, call 020 7341 8981.
