Working out at work! Staff at
BMI Priory Hospital in Birmingham, were put through their paces as part of a
national campaign organised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Pilates sessions were
organised throughout the week to show staff the benefits of taking exercise
during the working day.
Workout at Work Day gives
staff and employers the chance to discover how keeping fit and active can
actually boost morale and output in the workplace.
At BMI Priory Physiotherapy
Manager Janet Davies said the sessions had been great fun and very well
received by the people who took part.
“It is amazing how a little light
exercise can make people feel so much better. If the scheme encourages staff at
The Priory and Edgbaston Hospitals to take a little more daily exercise it can
only be a good thing.
“Pilates is an ideal choice
for all staff which ever department they work in as it can help improve
posture, core strength, flexibility and injury prevention.”
